I would like to send my best wishes to everyone celebrating Easter this weekend.

This is a hugely important event in the Christian church's calendar, and it's a time to pause and reflect on the values that are cherished both in the Christian tradition - tolerance, forgiveness, hope - and that are held dearly across British society as a whole.

Easter is also a time to be with family and friends, and to enjoy a well-earned rest. Like children all over the country, my young sons absolutely love it, and we're all looking forward to the break.
